How does this PDF compressor work?

Two modes: Fast (re-saves the PDF to remove overhead) and Aggressive (renders pages to JPEG and rebuilds a PDF). Both run in your browser.

Are my files uploaded?

No — all processing is client-side in your browser. Files are not uploaded to any server.

Use Fast mode first (keeps text selectable). Use Aggressive mode if you need much smaller file size (text becomes raster images).
